Welcome to the Homepages of the Faculty of Dentistry.
 

The Dental Faculty has an intake of 100 students per year into Year 1 for a basic 5 year undergraduate classified honours programme, the graduates being awarded as Dentist at the end of this programme. We also offer postgraduate higher degrees by research and taught programmes, many of the latter being linked to specialist training. Our organisation provides a full range of training with opportunities for continuous development for all departments of dentistry.

The  clinical areas that make up the department have all been re-equipped within the last few years and now contain modern chairs and cabinetry; they provide an excellent clinical environment for patients, students and staff.  Teaching facilities within the Department include a fully equipped Phantom Head Laboratory as well as recently refurbished Prosthetic Dentistry and Basic Science Laboratories ; all small-group teaching rooms are fully equipped with audio-visual equipment.
